The Miami Heat suffered defeat in Game 4 at the hands of the Boston Celtics in the FTX Arena. The Celtics defeated the Heat 117-99, saving themselves from elimination and pushing to Game 5 in Boston. While the Heat might’ve expected to deliver a clean sweep in this series, their hopes of doing that were shattered. Now in order to move to the Finals, the Heat have to wait for Friday, when they’ll face the home team in TD Garden. Even though the Heat have a 3-1 lead, some people speculate that this might be a chance for the Celtics to make a comeback. Is that really possible?
Well, Jimmy Butler has answered all those questions and, in summary, has ruled out all possibilities of a Celtics comeback. After the brutal defeat to the Boston Celtics in their home court, Butler answered the media’s questions. One of the many questions posed was about his method of avoiding getting too low on himself after such a loss.
Butler answered in the most candid way possible, sending out a strong message. He said, “Stay consistent, do the same thing that I do after every game. We gon listen to some music, we gon drink some beers. Finna go have some wine.” Butler then said, “I don’t think you can just focus on basketball all the time to be able to get away from the game.”
He then sealed the deal as he said, “We’re gonna smile, we’re gonna be in this thing together… And we’re gonna go get one on the road.”
Jimmy Butler seems confident despite the Heat’s loss to the Celtics
Jimmy Butler’s confidence, despite this loss, hasn’t gone down a bit, as seen in the post-game interactions. He has made it clear that one game, one loss, doesn’t impact the morale of himself and the team. While Butler and the team plan to advance to the NBA Finals following Game 5, the Celtics will cherish this one win after three straight losses.
Jayson Tatum was the show’s star tonight, scoring 33 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, and dishing out seven assists as he shot 64% from the field. Jaylen Brown followed in his footsteps as he scored 17 points of his own, adding four assists and four rebounds. The remainder of the squad stepped up and put up a comprehensive performance to lead a comeback victory in Game 4.
For the Heat, Butler, as usual, led the way, scoring 29 points, five assists, and nine rebounds. Gabe Vincent and Caleb Martin followed with 17 and 16 points, respectively. However, despite the team’s efforts, they failed to get a win. It’ll be interesting to see how the teams play their dice in Game 5, as the Celtics are still one step away from elimination. Stay tuned for more updates on Friday’s game between both teams!
