Joe Tsai takes a dig at Kyrie Irving after Nets win against Wizards

Brooklyn Nets are in absolute shambles currently but their win against Washington Wizards earlier has given Joe Tsai, the owner some relief. To celebrate the win, Tsai dropped a tweet that many believe is a subliminal dig at superstar Kyrie Irving.

Joe Tsai has had a lot on his plate in the last few months. The Brooklyn Nets owner recently had to deal with his superstar player, Kyrie Irving getting involved in a controversy. Irving was then suspended for 5 matches for his anti-semitic post on social media.

The basketball world is split after this decision and has called out the hypocritical nature of the Hong Kong-Canadian billionaire. Joseph Tsai apart from owning the Brooklyn Nets is also the vice chairman of the Chinese company, Alibaba Group. Fans dig up reports of Tsai’s company aiding China’s “cultural genocide” of Uyghur Muslims and slammed the owner.

Following the win against Washington Wizards, Tsai wrote, quoting a tweet from the official Brooklyn Nets handle, “Let’s put the joy back in basketball.” Many believe this is a subtle dig at the recently suspended Irving. Before his relief from the team, the superstar and the owner were not on good terms.
