Joel Embiid is one of the most active NBA superstars on social media. He is constantly active on his Twitter account, doing everything from trolling celebrities to sharing his opinion on whatever catches his interest. His addiction to being on social media was seen recently when he sent out a tweet right as his match was scheduled to start.
Just before his match was scheduled to start, Embiid sent out a tweet that said boxer Francis Ngannou got robbed. He was referring to the fight between Ngannou and Tyson Fury, where the judges awarded Fury the victory. May felt that Ngannou was the more deserving candidate for the victory and Fury was unfairly awarded the win.
Embiid sent out a tweet saying, “NO F WAY FRANCIS GOT ROBBED.” This was during the time when Embiid was supposed to be warming up for the match that was about to start.
Despite his apparent casualness, Embiid still dropped 34 points in a 7-point victory over the Toronto Raptors. The Philadelphia 76ers beat the Raptors 114-107 in their second game of the season. Embiid also added 9 rebounds and 8 assists.
