“I didn’t enjoy the way it was being pushed” Jonathan Isaac takes a brave stance on the FORCEFUL nature of the vaccination mandate
Jonathan Isaac was one of few NBA players that refused to comply to the mandatory rule of the COVID-19 vaccination. This issue spread like wildfire and had several players getting criticism from all sides. However, a large group of society also agreed to the fact that the mandate should not have been forced upon.
The Orlando Magic forward has not made an appearance since 2019 due to a series of terrible injuries. But it seemed as though he was ready to take on another battle on his stance against the vaccine. Isaac expressed his opinion to Allie Beth Stuckey of The Blaze claim that the mandate was “forced” onto innocent people who lost their jobs, while being denied of their freedom.
“I didn’t enjoy the way it was being pushed. Again for myself, I’m young, I’m healthy. I already had COVID in the past. I had already spoken to several doctors it and I was like I don’t see the wisdom in putting this into my body. Risking having some type of possible adverse reaction and still bring possible to get the virus and transmit it anyway.”
Jonathan Isaac and Kyrie Irving had same opinions on the vaccination mandate
During the 2021-22 Season, all players were required to get vaccinated or risk being suspended by the league. Jonathan Isaac happened to be ruled out due to injuries either way but similarly, Kyrie Irving‘s absence crippled the Brooklyn Nets as he tried to tried to make a similar point.
The former NBA Champion did not appear for half if the regular season games and was not allowed to played home games after being permitted to take part. The Nets failed to crack the top five in the Eastern Conference rankings besides being listed as the favorites to win the title.
Kyrie Irving voiced a similar stance saying that he did not want to comply to a rule that put everybody’s jobs at stake. It claimed that it was being forced onto people and their freedom of choice was being compromised by the governments.
