Jordan Poole registers a historic shooting record for the Warriors which not even Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson were able to pull

Jordan Poole had one of his worst performances against the Miami Heat on Tuesday. The Warriors‘ guard failed to impress with his greats as he had none. But Jordan Poole recorded a historic shooting record that both the splash brothers could not do in their careers.
The Warriors were let yet disappointed again in their loss to the Miami Heat, which is their 5th loss in 8 games of the 2022-23 season. Given how horribly they have been playing defense, the Warriors hardly had anything to celebrate. The Warriors Heat game was also in news for the 3 carry violations called on their young guard Jordan Poole, who also set a unique franchise record for the Warriors in the game.
Jordan Poole officially became the youngest player in Golden State Warriors to record 400 3pt shots made. Entering the Miami game Jordan Poole needed just one more three-pointer to get his number high up to 400th 3-pointers. It was not a tough feat for the young guard to achieve in just one game considering how Poole has exponentially improved his offense in past seasons. Interestingly, Poole only shot 3-for-10 from the floor and 1-for-7 from beyond the arc in the Miami game.
Poole is a career 34.1% shooter behind the arc but he has been shooting a little over 32% this season. His 3-point percentage is barely a concern for the coach and the staff considering how lethal he can be with the ball once he gets going. Considering the Warriors have the duo of the greatest NBA’s 3-point shooters in Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. Curry has set an untouchable record of making 400 3-pointers in a single season. Klay Thompson also has the record for the most number of 3-point shots made in a single game.
Poole recently signed a 4-year $140million extension with the Warriors. His big contract extension came after his brilliant playoff performance in the Warriors’ championship run. Poole shot 39% from the 3-point line and averaged 17 points per game with almost 51% field goal percentage.
The Warriors register their 3rd consecutive defeat to fall 3-5 in the 2022-23 season

The Warriors though played a better game compared to their performance in the past week yet the turnovers and the poor shooting percentage did not help them overcome the hardworking Miami Heat. The Dubs lost the game to the Heat by 116-109. The Warriors’ offensive arsenal is considered one of the most lethal in the NBA and yet in their loss against the Heat, they were able to score only 2 points in the final 5 minutes of the game.
Steph Curry had 23 points, 13 assists and 13 rebounds recording his 10th career triple-double, Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins scored 19 and 21 points respectively. With this loss, the Warriors are now 0-4 in the road games, which is a quite slump start for the defending champions.
The early slump in the season is nothing new for the teams. The Warriors have one of the best offensive lineups in the NBA and which can easily help them figure out their defense later in the season. Considering how vocal coach Kerr has been about the team’s struggle it would not be a surprise if the Warriors figure it out before Christmas.
