Kevin Garnett is undoubtedly one of the best trash-talker the league has ever seen. Calling him best won’t do justice as the things he has said during his NBA career are wild and claim him to be the greatest trash-talker ever. He has played in different eras but the narrative around him never changed. Kevin Garnett was afraid of none throughout his basketball career and has had his exchanges with anyone and everyone he wanted to piss off on the court.
Legends and Hall of Famers like Tim Duncan have been on the receiving end of his trash-talking. And, even Joakim Noah who probably was one of the biggest KG fans growing up with his posters in his room, as he idolized him. But unfortunately, even he wasn’t left safe and shown love by Kevin Garnett. So it’s fair to say that Kevin Garnett doesn’t forgive anyone when he’s trash-talking be it playing professional basketball, enjoying professional basketball, or playing video games.
Kevin Garnett has his bars set and treats probably everyone the same. As Karl-Anthony Towns recently sitting alongside Paul George at his podcast, “Podcast P with Paul George” revealed how Kevin Garnett once trash-talked a 9-year-old kid. This legendary moment took place in a Call of Duty lobby probably during KAT’s rookie year, as he reported. The nine-year-old would probably still be haunted by the exchange he had with Kevin Garnett.
Karl-Anthony Towns recalling that moment went on to quote: “Imagine being in a Call of Duty lobby and no one knows it’s him… Kevin Garnett one of the greatest trash-talker of all-time is in a Call of Duty lobby and arguing with a nine-year-old. The greatest fu**ing thing you have ever seen. I wish I had content to show you all. There ain’t nothing fu**ing better bro and he in game chat, he going nuts. And, then you feel bad I gotta back him up doing sh** dude. I am like little Tommy out here gonna cry to his parents man, KG over here going nuts.” Even Paul George hilariously adding to it said: “Cursing his a** off.”

Paul George reveals Kevin Garnett’s NBA 2K skills

Kevin Garnett is one of the greatest forwards in the history of the game. But the story isn’t the same when KG is hooping in NBA 2K. As recently, Paul George recalled a moment of his with KG where they played some 2K together.
And, while doing that he quoted: “We had to do a little 2K MyPlayer promo shoot with Ronnie right? So me and him were teammates and Ronnie was our third. First of all, it took us like 30 minutes just to start playing because KG didn’t know how the hell to work this sh*t. He don’t know how to log in like how to get to the game… Like every technical difficulty he went through right.”
Further, Paul George talking about his 2K experience with Kevin Garnett added: “We were in the park with KG. It took him like 30 minutes to actually get set up. So we waiting on him the whole time and he like, ‘Yo can you hear me.’ So we finally start playing and we in the game and he still don’t know like… He told me, ‘I don’t know what I am doing. I am just mixing up I am getting my bag.’ It was just funny because he didn’t know what the hell to do in the game.”
So Kevin Garnett isn’t a technical guy but let’s respect him for the fundamentals he has on the real court. Also, it’s been years since both of the above moments, and maybe with time passing by he has improved to be a great gamer too. And, one thing we know which is constant with him is his trash-talking skills.
