Luka Doncic will soon become the face of the league and it goes without question. It has been roughly four and a half years since he took the main stage of the NBA and he has been nothing short of impressive. Some believe that the Slovenian baller will eventually be leveled among the GOATs of the league if he does not stop dominating.
Last season held a historic run for Luka, who led the Dallas Mavericks to the Western Conference Finals. He averaged an impressive 31.7 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game during the playoffs and shattered several records along the way. But his efforts were not able to defeat the Golden State Warriors dynasty.
Kendrick Perkins criticises Luka Doncic’s athleticism
Lula Doncic has had a fair share of criticism directed towards. He has all the abilities which include dribbling, passing, scoring, and a decent defensive hand as well. But one thing thay has been pointed out is his slow or sluggish movement. Despite averaging 26.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 8 assists, experts have pointed out that he lacks explosiveness.
Another issue that has been associated with him is how often he argues with officials over calls. He finished the previous with the second most technical fouls with 18 calls. Kendrick Perkins recently named his top 25 under 25 and had Doncic on his list. He said, “He’s not cut up, he’s not chiseled, but he can’t be guarded. I call him a baby LeBron minus the athleticism.”

Dallas Mavericks rebuilds roster to help Luka Doncic win a title
Luka Doncic has shown how aggressive he can get at any given situation. During the playoffs, he helped the Mavericks beat the top seeded Phoenix Suns who were the favorites to win the series. Ever since the off-season had commence, Dallas has been trying to fill in the voids on their roster.
The signed Christian Wood who averaged 17.9 points and 10.1 rebounds per game last year. The trade Trey Burke, Marquese Chriss, Sterling Brown including their 26th overall pick and beloved Bob and Marjanovic. They also finalised a one-year $20.1 million deal with former Suns center JaVale McGee. These small signing could work wonders on the defensive end allowing Doncic to blossom into the scorer he is.
