Kendrick Perkins has made his way back to the NBA headlines as his recent take on Pro-Am Leagues is viral all over the internet and the basketball fans are loving it. This offseason the Pro-Am Leagues have really had the fans hooked up with the game. As they got to see many of the stars from the league in their local gyms showing off their basketball greats and even beefing with each other. But unfortunately, an injury suffered by Oklahoma City Thunder’s star during a pro-am game has many fans calling for such leagues to be done and gone. As they are causing injuries and sidelining the stars from playing. But Kendrick Perkins backing up the whole situation has added his totally different take to it. As he wants NBA and Adam Silver to promote such leagues more.

Chet Holmgren now will be missing the whole 2022-23 season, due to the Lisfranc injury. Fans around the globe were excited to watch him play on the hardwood and now they’ll have to wait for another good year. And, just because all of that happened during a CrawsOver game which is a Pro-Am League they now want it and other such canceled. But that’s not the case with Kendrick Perkins as he believes the Pro-Am Leagues are important not only for the fans but also the players so they can be heated up once the league is back. And, Kendrick Perkins is absolutely right when he mentioned about the fans. As such leagues make it possible for thousands of fans to meet, greet, touch and dap up their idols.

Kendrick Perkins discussing the ongoing situation around Pro-Am leagues quoted: “I think the NBA and Adam Silver should get behind it even more. And help the people who are running the pro-ams to get better facilities… One thing I will tell you, if people are against the pro-am, I feel sorry for them… Jokic is overseas right now, they’re playing. Giannis Antetokounmpo is playing basketball right now. And Luka Doncic is playing basketball right now. Those are three of the top-seven guys in the NBA.” He took a perfect shot at the stars playing overseas right now and getting in the best basketball shape possible to explain the importance of such leagues.

Further Kendrick Perkins in a tweet of his via his personal Twitter handle wrote: “I believe that Adam Silver and the NBA should get behind Summer Pro-Am leagues even more. Not only is great for the game of basketball buts EVERYTHING for the CULTURE!!! Carry on…” Yeah, Big Perk is right such games and leagues where stars from the NBA show up are really for the culture and community. So getting them canceled or called off isn’t fair and we all should instead support them to grow and take the basketball culture to new heights.
