Kevin Durant must feel upset that his former team made the finals and won the title without him. He had an exceptional run with the Golden State Warriors from 2016 to 2019 when they won two back to back championships as a super team. He also became a finals MVP twice within that duration with a team that was labelled helpless without him.

In 2019, the Warriors made their third finals appearance with the scoring legend. Unfortunately, Durant would coming off an injury from the previous series which damaged the Dubs chances of winning. He would re-injure his himself in Game 5 leaving the Warriors without help being down two games. Somehow they coped without him to win it and move onto the elimination round. Klay Thompson would face an injury and the Raptor took Game 6 to win the title.

Kevin Durant made a very shocking decision to leave Golden State after what conspired in the 2019 Finals. He made a decision to shift his talents to Brooklyn joining forces with Kyrie Irving. According to him, “I felt like it was time for a change. I wanted to play for a new team and simple put, I just did it. I didn’t really think about what I was leaving behind or what we accomplished.”
“I put that up on a shelf already. When it was time to make a decision on my future, I just thought solely about me. As time went on, I started to realize I’m just different from the rest of the guys,” he told the Wall Street Journal. “It’s not a bad thing. Just my circumstances and how I came up in the league.
