Kyrie Irving has been a regular name in the NBA headlines for the past weeks. But unfortunately, still many of his actions, especially kind ones are going unnoticed. As the media is busy covering the rumors and updates around his Free Agency because he’s an Unrestricted Free Agent this summer. Irving though cares the least about all the coverage and he’s just being himself out there.

Recently, Kyrie Irving invited a young basketball prodigy to his house. It would have been an unforgettable experience with loads of memories recorded for the young hooper. The fortunate young man was Jermel Thomas a growing name in the basketball world. He’s also known as “Magic Mel.”

Kyrie Irving blessed the young athlete with mentorship, life discussions, and guidance and even Kai’s dad was around as they hung out for hours. But that’s not where it ends. Irving took it a level up and displayed another act of generosity and kindness by gifting the young fan 40 game-worn sneakers. This proves Irving is really more than an athlete and prioritizes a lot many important things over basketball.

Later on Instagram, Jermel Thomas posted his photos with Kyrie Irving. And, revealing his lucky experience wrote: “Man we had a wonderful day today @kyrieirving mel mentor great person invited us to his house and me and his dad sat down for hours and Build about life. @magic_m31 so happy @kyrieirving gave mel 40 pair of sneakers he played in ???????? Omggggg”

Kyrie Irving also played some softball with him and the videos capturing all those moments are posted on his socials. It’s good to see how Irving who’s often referred to as the most controversial player in the league is proving those allegations wrong and giving back to the community with a kind heart. But still, the biggest concern about his career ahead stays around.

Even though the media has hyped up and highlighted Kyrie Irving’s Free Agency on levels. The reality is a bit different. As the market for Uncle Drew is limited and not many teams he’ll like to roll with have enough cap space to sign him into the system. The Dallas Mavericks are trying their best to re-sign him. But he’s taking all his time and has decided to conduct Free Agency meetings with teams this offseason.

The reason behind those meetings is him trying to find a team where he can retire. ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne recently reported that Kyrie Irving is in search of a place where he can spend the rest of his career and feel at home. The window for him to reunite with LeBron James now looks closed. The front office of the Lakers is showing no interest in acquiring him and is focused on re-signing their core.

But still, Kyrie Irving is a part of many rumors and is desired by many teams. Also, he’s about to talk with the Phoenix Suns in his Free Agency, and in a matter of some weeks, he’ll be announcing his decision regarding his career ahead.
