Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic shared a wholesome moment after their dynamic performance.

The star duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving helped the Dallas Mavericks cling to the team’s playoff spot in the Western Conference. In an overtime battle against the Houston Rockets, the pair gave their everything for the win.

The duo brought the Batman-Robin energy and combined for 85 points in the thrilling Mavericks victory. As the game was ending, the two shared a wholesome moment where they embraced each other to celebrate the win. In the post-game interview, Irving was asked about the said moment.

For the longest time, Luka Doncic has been carrying the burden of the team on his shoulders. Despite Kyrie Irving being traded to the Mavericks last year, it took a while for the team to find their rhythm due to Irving’s health issues. However, after Irving’s return from injury, the pair has now become a dynamic duo.

Their performance on Sunday was one of the many examples of their incredible on-court chemistry. Irving scored his season-high of 48 points with Doncic adding his double-double of 37 points and 12 assists. The Mavs duo is undoubtedly ready to showcase their unbeatable chemistry in the playoffs.

The Dallas Mavericks came together to end the Rockets’ season

The Mavericks held onto their 5th spot in the conference with contributions from all the members of the team. The team’s group effort ended the Rockets’ season as Houston lost their chance to rise from the 11th spot.

Rockets were fighting to stay in the competition as they were leading with 22 points in the second quarter. However, the Mavericks came right back up in the second half with Dante Exum‘s buzzer-beater which took the game to overtime. Mavericks outscored the Houston Rockets 18-7 in the overtime to reach their ultimate goal of winning.

Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd reflected on the win, stating that the victory was a result of trust between the players.
