During his 12 years in the NBA Anthony Davis emerged as among the league’s exceptional players. He might be injury-prone, a bit, but that never takes his eye off the ball. Eyebrows were raised when it called Davis a huge flopper. It was a big one for the Philadelphia 76ers on their visit to the Wells Fargo Centre against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night. It angered Lakers fans, however, because the Lakers collapsed in the fourth quarter. However, they ended up at victory with a score of 138-94 after a strong play in the last period. Anthony Davis ended with 17 points and 11 rebounds while Lebron James could just manage 18 points and five assists. With the first quarter up at 13 points, the 76ers had entirely humiliated the Lakers.
In his primary defence, Joel Embiid ended with a triple-double under Anthony Davis. However, it was Tyrese Maxey, who scored for the team’s highest score of 31 points. However, towards the end of the game, the Sixers were better, and after outscoring the visiting Lakers 40–14, they acquired control over the match. This was a 44-point defection which is the worst in LeBron James’ entire career and the fourth worst in team history. Some were displeased with the Sixers, but others had fury towards their own team. This saw social media users for the Los Angeles Lakers going into frenzies after a very ugly loss against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The fans went crazy when Joel Embiid and Anthony Davis started having words for themselves because of the Lakers’ loss to the 76ers. The following tweet was sent from an old Twitter account on X.com:
Can't do no n**a that just stomped me, that's just me tho.
Embiid finished with a triple-double and some impressive plays by Maxey and others that led to the victory for the Sixers.
Embiid finished with his sixth career triple-double of 30 points, plus 11 rebounds and assists, in what was a perfect score for the reigning NBA MVP. This is Embiid’s first game this season and eight of their career with ten or more assists each. As expected, the face-off between Embiid and James never really did occur. Despite having James play for twenty-nine minutes and scoring eighteen points, it wasn’t enough to reduce the 76ers’ lead. He has now surpassed all other players in terms of accumulated minutes on the pitch with playoffs included.
Fans express discontent after Lakers’ devastating loss to the 76ers
Following a major loss against the Philadelphia 76ers, fans took to social platforms to express displeasure and utter disappointment with Anthony Davis’s performance.

The 44-point loss was among the worst losses in Lakers’ history and it was the most embarrassing loss for LeBron James as he had had an impressive career till then.
This happened when the team collapsed in the fourth quarter and the fans started doubting the team’s toughness and commitment. It was not just about the result, but how the Laker’s gameplay appeared to be slow and sluggish. The loyal fans were mostly disappointed when they saw Anthony Davis chatting casually with Joel Embiid right after the match.
