Darvin Ham is the best thing that happened to the Los Angeles Lakers this year. The front office really brought in the perfect guy for the head-coaching job of a star-studded team. And, now Darvin Ham has successfully coached the LeBron James and Anthony Davis-led Los Angeles Lakers to the Western Conference Finals. He really has turned the terrible season of the franchise into a successful deep postseason run.
But unfortunately, Darvin Ham and the Los Angeles Lakers are just one loss away from ending their run and getting knocked out of the playoff contention. As of right now, in the Western Conference Finals, they are maintaining a 3-0 deficit against the Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic-led Denver Nuggets. Game 3 at Crypto.com Arena was full of energy but for the away team. As they had the lead maintained. Darvin Ham and the Lakers got on many runs but just as in the past two games, disappointingly failed to finish and lost it at 108-119.
LeBron James got 23 points, 12 assists, and seven rebounds while Anthony Davis got 28 points and 18 boards. But those weren’t enough against the Nuggets. As Jamal Murray dropped 37 points, six assists, and seven rebounds. He was backed up by Nikola Jokic who contributed with 24 points (15 points in the last quarter), 8 assists, and 6 rebounds. Many have already given up on the Los Angeles Lakers as no team in the history of the league has ever overcome a 0-3 deficit. But HC, Darvin Ham is a believer.
After the embarrassing Game 3 loss, when Darvin Ham was questioned about the hopes for the Los Angeles-based team coached by him. Darvin Ham responded: “Absolutely, I think the deficit is 3-0, not 4. As long as they haven’t gotten 4 yet, there’s still hope. We’re still alive. We just have to focus on winning 1 game.” He got away with this response but the internet isn’t letting him slide anywhere.

Fans are trolling and clowning Darvin Ham for believing the Lakers can win four straight games and make history by coming back from a 0-3 deficit. However, that’s his job and he’s not wrong while being positive for his team.

The Los Angeles Lakers have made several comebacks on several aspects this season. But this time they are against the best team in the west and on a bigger stage where their opponents are balling out. Also, one loss and it’s a wrap-up for them. So it’s time for the team to step up and start balling out if they want to have a shot at the title and be alive in the run. Also, Darvin Ham has to make some solid adjustments in the starting lineup around the guards or the season is over for them.
