Kobe Bryant is still very much remembered among the NBA community. The legend lost his life on January 26, 2020 due to a helicopter crash in Calabasas. The crash happened due to terrible weather that cause a system malfunction and pilot negligence.

The Black Mamba was not the only one on the aircraft. Gianna Bryant as well as her high school teammates and their parents had all been victims to the crash that day. The world certainly woke up to the chilling news and nobody knew how to process it.

The Black Mamba work with the league did not stop after retiring in 2016. He became an advocate for females rights and worked tirelessly for their upliftment in the field of sports. The Mamba Sports Academy was a result of his aspirations. So his death affected numerous individuals across the basketball community and his former associates as well such as Shaquille O’Neal who called the legend his “little brother.”

Kobe Bryant was well respected by everybody who knew him. Despite being rumored to have had an issue with a few teammates, they have always spoken the best of him. Similarly, Jeanie Buss the owner of the Lakers franchise admitted he feels that Kobe was her best associate.

“There are so many people I miss. But the person I miss the most is Kobe. We miss his voice, his friendship and everything that was taken away from us when we lost him.” Buss also said she loved working with the Mamba through thick and thin because of his willingness to work through situations with the best interests of the Lakers in mind.
