LaMelo Ball is one of the biggest modern-day NBA stars. Having already proclaimed himself as an All-Star in the 2021-22 season, LaMelo seems to have landed himself in some trouble after signing a lucrative $100 Million deal with Puma. Given that he is known to show-off his wealth, the young Hornets stud has famously blown away his $4 Million in one single occasion.
Given the hype this young Ball brother had, he decided to skip NCAA Basketball and made his way into professional world by representing Illawarra Hawks of Australia in 2019. Since he has entered the league LaMelo Ball has managed to average more than 17 points per game. Along with 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Furthermore, he was also voted as the ROTY in 2021 ahead of Anthony Edwards as well.
LaMelo Ball sued by publicist
In 2019, LaMelo hired publicist Amber Johnson to find him some high-profile deals. He made this decision just as he graduated from high school. Johnson did the best she possibly could and even helped him secure the biggest deal of his career so far. A $100 million deal with PUMA! All she wanted in return was 10% of the profits.
However, Amber is now suing LaMelo Ball for $10 million, claiming she is yet to be paid. This was a shock, especially after seeing his $4 million spending spree. A spree that saw him spend $300,000 on a Ferrari, $1 million on a Richard-Mille watch, and $2.6 million on a condo. That being said, the alleged victim sued her former employee in January of 2022 and he is still busy fighting this case in court.
LaMelo Ball is known to have always lived a luxurious life, which was showcased one way or the other. But that has never guided him off the basketball court. Remaining to be Charlotte Hornets’ key member, LaMelo Ball would be only looking to mature as he progresses in the league, making his way. But that being said, will there be more drama between Ball and his former publicist, as he is expected to continue his relationship with Puma? Remains to be seen.
