“It burns my stomach to not be part of these games” LeBron James details his painful experience of missing the 2022 playoffs
LeBron James has one of the biggest voices in the world right now. His game and presence on the court has been extremely influential to the masses around him. Bron’s has been dominating the league ever since he set foot into it and has not shown any signs of stopping entering into his 20th year next season. James has not spoken a word about retirement recently but is primarily focusing on the next season as well as winning another title.
This year was very unfortunate for the King in his fourth year as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. He tried joining forces with several other veteran players in hopes that experience would take them the distance. Unfortunately, Russell Westbrook did not fit in and injuries plagued the team terribly. It does not seem like the current roster would live to see another season together but the franchise is making moves to continue with them.
LeBron James opens up about Lakers’ early exit from the season
LA had a very good chance of making the playoffs until their chemistry faded further down and Anthony Davis sat out for a majority of the season. LeBron James had opened up about being out of the title race on “UNINTERRUPTED” saying, “Listen man, I took my wife to her dream destination to the Maldives right after the season, she never thought I would. When I told we was going she still didn’t believe me. She didn’t believe me until we pulled up to the plane.”
“I was literally in the Maldives waking up at 3 O’Clock in the morning watching the playoffs games. Like every single game… waking up, watching the games. As much as I don’t want to watch it cause it burns in my stomach to not be a part of these games, cause it’s the best time to play basketball. The fan in me cannot.”
LeBron James hints desire to play with other teams
LeBron James is someone who can have an immediate impact on a struggling team. We witnessed it happen with both of his former teams, the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers. He even won championships with both franchises including the Lakers. “Oh my god, Mavs tryna f**k me over right here. The team I would love to play for which is not in the playoffs is the Lakers,” he said.
“But if it was one team that I knew I can make an immediate impact in the post season and we could be very special… it would either be Miami or Golden State,” he replied on being asked who he would have liked to play for in the playoffs. He further spoke on how his former rival Draymond Green is a very good motivator. “I like the way Draymond talk to guys. I would love that. I love when somebody cus me the f**k out.”
