LeBron James truly knows what it is like to be away from his family on Christmas Day. The 37-year-old is contesting in his 17th showdown on December 25, breaking the record previously held by late Kobe Bryant for most appearances on Christmas Day.

Ahead of the matchup against Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center, Bron was mic’d up to send some Christmas delights to his fans, and perhaps that is just what he did in his pre-game ritual. LeBron found the perfect way to connect with his loved ones right before the tipoff, sending love to his kids and the rest of the NBA world.

“I know I’m not with y’all today, but I do miss Savannah, Bronny, Bruce, Zhuri, my momma. See y’all soon, love y’all. To the NBA, I appreciate y’all allowing me to play on Christmas once again. Love, love, love!” the 37-year-old said whilst preparing for the showdown.

LeBron James has been featuring in the Christmas Day lineup since his rookie season. Safe to say, it is nearly synonyms to mention Bron and the Christmas Day festivity in the NBA. For those who are unaware, King James is featuring in his 17th Christmas Day encounter.

With all his 3 teams, James has featured on the NBA on December 25th.To be precise, he has played 8 games as a Cavalier, 4 as a member of the Miami Heat and 3 as a Los Angeles Laker.

Being in his 20th season, James is averaging 27.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game. His individual excellence hasn’t translated to consistent success for the Lakers at large. But will this Christmas bring the required change basketball fans in Hollywood desperately want? Remains to be seen.
