LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are all over the NBA headlines. As the Hollywood-based team recently got their second win of the season and it came against the ‘future-great’ Zion Williamson’s New Orleans Pelicans as said by the King himself. The game was head-to-head and very closely contested but LeBron James and the squad were just better against the Pelicans.
Matt Ryan drilled a buzzer-beater three-pointer and tied the game forcing overtime where the team got the dub. Russell Westbrook gave another impressive performance his coming off the bench by contributing 13 points, 9 assists and 7 rebounds. LeBron James and Anthony Davis both handed out 20 points. AD got 16 boards while King also had 10 rebounds and 8 assists.
Lonnie Walker though was the star with 28 points. And, the Pelicans has a solid run throughout the game but were just not able to finish it off. As Zion Williamson who is loved and praised by LeBron James dropped 27 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds. He also took care of the defensive end but unfortunately fell on the losing side. As LeBron James and Co. are now probably done with losing games after their terrible start.
After the game ended LeBron James during his post-game interview was questioned about Zion Williamson and the moment he had with the young superstar in making. Like always James didn’t hold himself back and gave Zion the well-deserved respect while praising him and giving out an unreal take on his future.

LeBron James appreciating Zion Williamson quoted: “I love everything about the kid. I mean I understand exactly some of the things he’s going through. You know being a number one pick and everybody is saying you should be this, you should be that you are the face of the franchise… I mean the kid has done nothing but just keep his head down and keep pushing that’s what I said. Outside noise matters to nobody.”
Further, LeBron James gave out some legendary comparisons for Zion Williamson based on his speed, shape and athleticism. He mentioned Charles Barkley, Shaq and Giannis while doing so. LeBron also quoted: “Zion is on the verge of being great, and he’s going to be great in this league for a long time…” Fans have loved this respectful moment and are back with the reactions find some of those here below:
