A young Warriors fan arguably got the most beautiful surprise of her life while watching the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors. Apparently, she had bought tickets to the Chase Center thinking that LeBron James would break the all-time scoring record in the Bay Area, but he did so in Los Angeles. The teenage fan was sitting courtside with her brother when she realized the Lakers star was sitting next to her.
With barely a few minutes into the first quarter of the contest, the young girl and her brother were sitting and chatting. What she did not expect was the visitor who walked right across her and sat on the chair next to her. James, who was sidelined due to a foot injury, came from the locker room and sat in the open seat at the end of the Lakers bench. As soon as she looked up and saw his face, she couldn’t believe what she was seeing and almost freaked out. She covered her mouth in excitement while her brother filmed her reaction.
Even announcers Mike Breen and Jeff Van Gundy were floored by the beautiful moment between the player and the fan. Her reaction quickly went viral. This prompted ABC’s Lisa Salters to approach her and ask about the young girl’s amazement upon finding NBA’s all-time leading scorer seated next to her. Interestingly, while the 12-year-old was being interviewed, James was still sitting right beside her and perhaps listening to everything.

LeBron James certainly made the young fan’s day. While talking to Lisa Salters, the teenager told her she had booked her tickets three months ago. Apparently, she had bought the tickets in the hopes of witnessing history being made. “So I asked for these tickets over three months ago because I was so excited, I really was hoping that LeBron would break the record at this game. And even once he broke it, I was like ‘Oh my God, congratulations,’ holding her breath she said.
When ABC’s reporter asked what was going through her head while sitting alongside the 19-time All-Star, she said that she couldn’t believe that basketball GOAT was sitting next to her. She also stated that it was the best moment of her life. “What’s going through my mind is just like ‘Oh my God, the greatest player of all time in basketball is sitting next to me.’ I just freak out completely, thinking ‘Oh my goodness, this is the best moment of my life,’” she added. Luckily, she ended up having pictures with James after the Lakers’ win over the Warriors.
