Since his return after a foot injury, LeBron James has looked pretty solid with the Los Angeles Lakers. As the regular season comes to an end, the Lakers look at an opportunity to pick up their first title since 2020. Needless to say that the Lakers have been some fantastic basketball. With James and Anthony Davis leading them on a dominating spree, the Lakers are now in the eighth position in the Western Conference.
With one game left in the regular for the Lakers, their game against the Phoenix Suns was watched by keen viewers. The Lakers took on a depleted Suns as Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton were all out. While the game was expected to be one-sided and barely entertaining, LeBron proved everyone wrong in the fourth quarter.
With over five minutes to go in the fourth quarter, the Lakers were up by eleven points. James would’ve certainly liked to add to the tally. In an attempt to put up a mid-range jumper, James spun around and pulled up a shocker. The shot went way over the basket to hit the backboard and ricochet to the Suns for a defensive rebound.
As shocking as it was, many fans have been trying to make sense of this shot. Even more so because AD was just across James and was open for an easy pass. Instead, the Lakers forward decided to take it upon himself and ended up making a horrendous attempt. Luckily for the 20-year veteran, the shot didn’t go against the result of them winning the game. However, fans still haven’t let him off the hook. The jokes and mockery have been coming up, with one fan calling him by his former teammate’s name.

How is Twitter reacting to LeBron James’ shocker?
As always, fans on Twitter have been collectively trying to make sense of James’ shocker. Some have even tried to read into the star’s mind as they explain in detail what might have caused such a shot. One fan tried to explain how James was initially trying to pass the ball to AD. However, since he wasn’t ready and the forward was already in the air, he was forced to take an awkward shot.
While James’ attempt to pass the ball is fair speculation, whether the shot was intentional or forced remains a mystery. A fan also pointed out that both James and AD were seen laughing with each other near the bench after this incident. Regardless, this shot is proof that the Lakers superstar is human, just like his fans. While this has no impact on the great’s legacy but in terms of entertainment value, his blooper against the Suns was amusing, to say the least.
