Luka Doncic is ready to tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend Anamaria Goltes, and Mark Cuban has a big surprise for him. The Dallas Mavericks owner revealed his plan to gift the Slovenian sensation an NBA title as a congratulatory gesture. Doncic shared the news of his engagement on Instagram last week. Cuban, who is known for his bold and ambitious moves, wants to make Doncic’s dream come true by building a championship team around him.
Brad Parker, a reporter from the Score was chopping it up with Cuban on the sidelines and asked him about the engagement, “Luka Doncic got engaged. What are you getting him for a wedding gift?” Cuban was quick to answer back, “You know what, I’ve talked to my wife about that. I don’t know yet.”
Cuban has a different kind of ring in mind for Doncic, and he’s not joking. “A championship,” he said. Cuban and the Mavericks have been busy this summer, adding Grant Williams, a solid acquisition from the Boston Celtics. The team also secured Kyrie Irving for the long haul.
Cuban’s vision of delivering Doncic a title is not unrealistic. The team was in the Western Conference finals a few years ago, and with Doncic’s improved fitness, the Mavericks are poised to make some noise this season.

Mark Cuban’s Dallas Mavericks winning in the offseason
The Dallas Mavericks could not have done a better job in this year’s free agency. The front office completely retooled the roster, transforming a mediocre offense-heavy team into a legitimate title contender in the span of this summer.
The team’s first big move came in free agency, signing sharpshooter Seth Curry and a two-way tank in Grant Williams. The NBA draft was also a massive success for Cuban and the Mavericks, drafting Derek Lively and Omax Prosper, who both were huge steals. The management somehow signed Rashaun Holmes from the Kings for essentially nothing.
Another critical move the Mavericks made was retaining Kyrie Irving in Dallas. Irving signed a 3 years/$120 million deal with the Mavericks earlier this month. The deal also included bonuses and incentives for the guard for games played and for making other significant awards.
The team is still not done with getting reinforcements for Doncic. As per reports, Dallas is looking to package Josh Green and Jaden Hardy to acquire a formidable forward for the team. As the partnership between Irving and Doncic enters year two, Dallas fans can raise their hopes of even winning a Championship.
