Michael Beasley was a guest on a recent episode of OGs podcast, where he joined the ever-growing list of analysts, fans, and NBA veterans to add their voices to the NBA GOAT conversation. And as expected, he chose his former teammate, LeBron James.

The most contentious debate in the NBA, Michael Jordan vs. LeBron James, doesn’t seem to end anytime soon as supporters and fans of both sides keep dragging and adding their voices to the debate. The latest voice, Beasley, had to choose, and while his choice wasn’t surprising, it still sent the NBA world talking.

He was asked by Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller while a guest on the OGs show who his overall GOAT is. Beasley, having played with many great players, definitely had the pedigree to talk about the issue. However, when he chose the four-time NBA champion, he made a strong and almost biased argument to back his claims by saying LBJ is the best in about four positions on the court.

However, while Beasley is entitled to his opinions, the impact both players have can’t be ignored. Playing in different eras, both players have been a global phenomenon and helped increase the popularity of the league as well as create and break records along the way.

Former NBA player comes after Beasley for his GOAT choice

Nate Robinson wasn’t the happiest of men after he watched his fellow veteran, Michael Beasley, argue in favor of LeBron James as the GOAT of basketball. He took to the social media platform Instagram to let his feelings, albeit in a not-so-friendly way. 

The former shooting guard and 11-year NBA veteran acknowledged that Beasley was an LBJ fan, which he considered routine, and then went on to state why it was wrong to choose him over Jordan. 

Robinson wrote:

N*gga, stop smoking w*ed. The reason we say [Jordan] is the best is because we have eyes and can see his game is just better, bro it’s. We know you’re a Bron fan, and that’s ok, but [Jordan] made every human on this earth wanna be like Mike lol and wear his kicks. I still haven’t seen one human wear LeBrons with jeans or any regular outfit, lol.

Furthermore, Beasley responded to the comment. He wrote:

Ouch, I thought we were friends. I get not agreeing with my opinion, but that jab hurt worse than seeing you plank on TV.

The intense back and forth might have got a bit personal resulting in hurt feelings. Although the exchange was a bit fiery, it only demonstrated how far supporters of both legends are willing to go in projecting their GOAT choice. Till we decide on who deserves the crown in the MJ vs. LBJ battle, let the debate go on.
