Michael Jordan Takes Delivery Of His $3.5M Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster
Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player of all time and the owner of the Charlotte Hornets, has a new toy in his garage. The six-time NBA champion and Hall of Famer recently received his Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster, a $3.5 million hypercar that can go faster than 300 mph.
The Venom F5 Roadster is one of only 30 units that will be made by Hennessey Special Vehicles, a company based in Texas that specializes in creating high-performance cars. John Hennessey, the founder and CEO of the company, personally delivered the car to Jordan at his private and luxurious golf course, Grove XXIII, located north of Jupiter, Florida.
The car is powered by a 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine named ‘Fury’, which generates a staggering 1,817 horsepower and 1,193 pound-feet of torque. The car can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds and has a projected top speed of 311 mph, making it one of the fastest cars on the planet.
The car also features a carbon fiber chassis and body, a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and gloss-exposed carbon fiber finish with vibrant yellow pinstriping.
