The Los Angeles Lakers and their front office never really left the NBA headlines and now with Nick Wright being critical of Rob Pelinka their General Manager who by most has been blamed for the terrible season the team had. All the conversations are back and spiced up. The Los Angeles Lakers recently signed Darvin Ham (former assistant coach at Milwaukee Bucks) as their new head coach. The team got away with one of its biggest problems but the roster issues are still there and major changes for the improvement of the team awaits. Nick Wright in his recent take correctly said it all out and threw some shade at the general manager Rob Pelinka.

The veteran roster of the Los Angeles Lakers can once again be a problem for the team as the chemistry issues will remain the same. The Lakers’ decision regarding Russell Westbrook is still not out yet, like the past season. They aren’t clear about having Brodie in the next run or not. But they always tried to ship him and it was nothing but some failed effort by general manager Rob Pelinka and the front office who built the Big Three of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook. Many including Nick Wright too think that finding a new home for Russell Westbrook is really necessary or else shifting LeBron James out as they weren’t able to win together.

But there’s no confirmation regarding any rumors so far and it looks like the Los Angeles Lakers will stick with the King and probably try to exchange Russell Westbrook. But they aren’t also interested in giving away their first-round pick in the offer. Discussing the Lakers regarding the new signing of the head coach and roster changes Nick Wright, as per sportskeeda quoted: “All of that is nice, (but) none of it really matters for the Lakers if they don’t find a trade partner for Westbrook. I know you were excited about Russ going to the Lakers. It was a total disaster. It couldn’t have gone any worse. I like the Ham hire, however, that is 25% of the job this summer; 55% of the job this summer is finding a trade partner for Westbrook.” The responsibility of getting it done is on Rob Pelinka and the sportscaster isn’t riding his bus.

Nick Wright believes Rob Pelinka won’t be able to fix the Los Angeles Lakers

Nick Wright was in shock and surprised knowing that Rob Pelinka isn’t fired and will be around the franchise. But still, the sportscaster is sticking to his narrative of him messing the team up and this time he has also added that he won’t be able to fix it all. As he quoted (as per sportskeeda): “The other 30 percent is finding some athletic wings…It’s a hell of a job Rob Pelinka’s got in front of him. Luckily, he’s about the worst guy for it. I can’t believe they kept Pelinka.”

Nick Wright’s criticism for the General Manager Rob Pelinka is very correct. As he is responsible for the roster which didn’t live up to the expectations for even two straight games. Many fans of the franchise also agree with him and want him fired as they want the Lakers to be on the winning side or at least in the playoffs when they have LeBron James balling out.
