“Love you BRODA” Patrick Beverley, Russell Westbrook share heartwarming moment after Lakers practice
Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley
NBA players Patrick Beverley and Russell Westbrook have a history of getting together in fights and banter, on the court. But when Patrick was drafted to play for the LA lakers, lot of eyebrows were raised knowing the history of the two players. This decision of LA Lakers shocked all the NBA followers. But it seems that all’s well between the two players.
Recently, in an introductory press conference for the lakers, Patrick Beverley was sweating during the interview and Russell Westbrook saw it. He immediately passed a towel to new his new teammate. Patrick seemed to have appreciated this gesture of his teammate. That was a very encouraging gesture from Westbrook, and the fact that these two have had the most personal rivalries in the history of the NBA, such acts are good enough to help them build a solid friendship.
Many predicted that there’s no way these two can get along now that they’re on the same team with the Los Angeles Lakers. Well, it seems like this might not actually be the case. The pair was also photographed sharing a laugh together during the practice. The two also seemed to have draped it up after Beverley’s interview was over.
Russell Westbrook’s trade seems to be imminent
Los Angeles Lakers player Russell Westbrook has been unsuccessful to find a new home for himself, but the Lakers management is trying all ways to find a right deal for the ex-MVP player. Rumors that along with Russell Westbrook, the lakers management will also have to give one first-round draft selection. The team could also add future pick swaps if necessary. Russell’s trade with the Utah Jazz could work for L.A., given that the teams were able to collaborate on a trade already this summer.
Both the squads seem to have similar needs. Lakers should eye Utah Jazz forward Bojan Bogdanovic as he can be an ideal target for any deal with Utah in exchange of Westbrook. There are others trade options like veterans Mike Conley, Jordan Clarkson and Rudy Gay who could all be swapped from the Jazz for the right price. The Indiana Pacers and the San Antonio Spurs are the other two teams, which the Lakers can get into talks with as reasonable trade partners.
