Russell Westbrook has had a long off-season filled drama and rumors. For someone to face as much as he has, they would have had two foot out the door by then. But Brodie stood firm and faced it all with the intention of only redeeming himself next season and nothing else.
The 9x NBA All-Star told ESPN that he was going to completely dedicate himself to get as much success as he can for the Los Angeles Lakers. The player is set to exercise his $47 million extention with the team moving into his second year with them as well.

Coach plans on using Russell Westbrook as the defensive centerpiece pairing him up with Patrick Beverley and their other defensive pieces.
Anthony Davis will play a pivotal role coming into the new season. For over two years, the player has suffered staying consistent or healthy. The Lakers have used him and LeBron James as their main pieces ever since they were first paired up. However, LeBron cannot be fully relied on due to his age.
