Russell Westbrook has been on roll in the last few games for the Los Angeles Lakers. After coach Darvin Ham decided to bring Russell off the bench, the former MVP has been giving a different character to the bench and has amped up their production as well.
Westbrook has been turning the ball over less and scoring more efficiently in the last few games. What has stood out about Russell is his improved 3-point shot percentage. He had improved his shooting percentage to over 33% this season.
On the same note, Lil Wayne has been a lifelong Laker and despite their poor performances in the last two seasons, Wayne has come out in support of LeBron and crew. Recently a little boy asked Lil Wayne who according to him was the best-dressed athlete. “Best athlete by far hands down is Russell Westbrook.,” Wayne said.
NBA players have been more vocal and open about their fashion in the last few years. Brodie along with other players like James Harden has a very unique dressing style. His unorthodox dressing style has also attracted some media attention in the past.

Los Angles Lakers won their 3rd straight game and 5th overall this season on Monday. The win came against the young San Antonio Spurs team which is in 14th position in the Western Conference. The Lakers obliterated the Spurs 123-92 and improved their standing in the conference. Russell Westbrook scored 10 points and 10 assists in just 20 minutes for the Lakers.
The next few games for the Lakers are against the Spurs, Blazers, and Suns, two of which are against the Spurs. Although the wins have come against some of the weakest teams in the league, it is definitely going to help the Lakers find their rhythm and trust in each other. Westbrook has dropped more than 10 dimes in his 4 games for the Lakers, of which the Lakers have won 3.
Westbrook has been keeping the second group together and helping the team to maintain its grip on the game so far. When asked about his contribution to the second unit, Russ said, “honestly don’t matter what unit it is my number my abilities to make guys better around me. I have been in this league for long time..i continue doing it to the best of my ability.”
Several former NBA players have urged Westbrook to change his playing style and adopt new ones to be effective on the court. A superstar of Russell’s caliber taking the role of the 6th man, coming off the bench, takes a transcendental love for the game.
