“Tell Draymond…I yell back” Scottie Pippen dismisses Draymond Green’s claims about 2017 Warriors beating 98 Bulls

Scottie Pippen and Draymond Green

Draymond Green has made his way back to the NBA headlines and this time it’s again because of his claim to beat the 1998 Chicago Bulls. He never wanted a part of comparing different teams from different eras but here he is doing the very same thing knowing it is dumb and senseless to do so. Draymond Green is one of the biggest probably the best trash-talker out there and he’s allowed to do so as he backs his words up but messing with teams which had players like Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen just doesn’t feel right but now it’s a done deal and he will have to pay a prize for it. As Bulls’ legend Scottie Pippen has responded to his senseless claim.

It all started with Draymond Green’s tweet which got viral all over the internet as he took a shot on Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen-led Chicago Bulls and Karl Malone’s Utah Jazz too. In the tweet, claiming to beat them Draymond Green wrote: “I’m watching the 98 Bulls vs Utah in the Finals… I can’t help but notice our 2017 team would’ve beaten these Bulls by a dub and these Jazz by 40 if they’re going to play these brands of basketball. And that’s why it’s dumb to compare Era’s.” After this tweet, the former DPOY got heavily trolled and criticized on the internet as he was forgetting how great Black Jesus and Mailman were back in their days during their era. But still, he’s not holding himself back and is keeping the fire on.

Recently, a video clip of Draymond Green went viral all over the internet where he is defending his claim and adding more to it. When a fan asked him about his claim while he was getting into his car and about to leave he took a halt to get his case heard and quoted: “We beat the Bulls by 40. It ain’t about that (locking up Jordan), it ain’t about locking up nobody. See the part that people miss is there’s a difference in eras. So those guys are playing from the free-throw line, see I was watching Game 5 of the ’98 Finals against the Jazz. The final score was 82-81. That is a halftime score. My whole point is comparing the eras. It just doesn’t make sense. No one is scoring 82 points in a game today. … I don’t know if we’re sweeping the Bulls, but I know we’re winning and I’d have my fifth ring.

Draymond Green’s claim was getting out of hand and a response was really necessary. So Scottie Pippen took the matter into his hand during a recent interview of his and did a pretty good job shutting down the former DPOY for his claim. Even fans are calling him a fool and a guy who can only talk the talk as he is claiming a win for a match-up which will never really happen or isn’t possible right now. Scottie Pippen during his interview with NBC Sports Chicago called out Draymond Green for his claim and ripping him apart quoted: “I don’t know I am not letting Draymond Green talk. He’s trying to pop his podcast up so let him say whatever he wants. Just put this out there. The best team to win a championship is the 98 Bulls send that to Draymond. I mean excuse me… excuse me the 96 Bulls…Tell Draymond, I yell back.”

Scottie Pippen really gave an honest and fair response to Draymond Green’s claim and the fire is down for now. But again the former DPOY isn’t the one to hear things, especially about his podcast so a reply is very expected and we all may get to enjoy some back and forth exchanges too. But I just hope Michael Jordan doesn’t take this claim of DG personally and comes out of retirement to end it all for once. As he really is the guy who can do it all and most fans also want it to happen.
