Shaquille O’Neal has played with some of the top athletes in the NBA. He himself was an insane basketball player as well who was drafted No.1 Overall in the 1992 draft. During his first season, Shaq had already proven himself as a high level scorer averaging 23.4 points as well as 13.9 rebounds.

Shaq was the type that physically bullied his opponents more than using trash talking. By his third season he averaged 29.3 points and led the Orlando Magic to the finals. Eventually, he joined forces with Kobe Bryant and won himself three titles back to back between 2000 and 2002 including League MVP.

His career with the Los Angeles Lakers came to an end in 2004 as he wanted to be the focal point of the team. After joining up and coming superstar Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat, he managed to win another ring in 2006. Since then, Shaq had struggled finding himself again due to his increasing weight which decreased his ability to be athletic.

In 2011, Shaquille O’Neal had called an end to his career. The legend had played with arguably every Top 5 player there was during the 2000s. But out of all the individuals he shared the court with, he has the highest regard for the Black Mamba. To this day, he considers Kobe as his little sibling and his death hurt Shaq deeply.

Shaq made an appearance on the PBD Podcast alongside host Patrick Bet-David. The two argued over their Top 5 All-Time picks. The NBA Hall of Famer selected Kobe over Michael Jordan as his GOAT. This shocked PBD and Shaq further threw shade by selecting MJ as the second best player of all time.

Shaquille O’Neal finished his list with LeBron James, Bill Russell and Karl Malone, all in order. Bet-David’s list was a very unique mix that sat Diesel at the top, Hakeem Olajuwon, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Dennis Rodman as his primary defender. But the Mamba being selected first speaks volumes of how underrated he is. Kobe also had many instances where he would out beat Jordan on the court as well.
