Shaquille O’Neal was asked on his show The Big Podcast with Shaq about a recent development regarding Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic. O’Neal had some choice words towards Nurkic.

Co-host Adam Lefkoe mentioned to O’Neal that Nurkic had decided to press charges against Draymond Green for hitting him in the face during their match. O’Neal went full ‘Katt Williams’ and responded to Nurkic:

"It just shows how soft you are as a big man. You can’t press charges, you just gotta get your big a** up and hit somebody back. How about that? With your big soft a**”

O’Neal was livid as according to him, Green hit Nurkic as Green knows Nurkic will not hit him back.

O’Neal mentioned that when you are a big man, you are supposed to be tough. You cannot go about crying after a hit (O’Neal trolled the crying on camera) and decide to press charges. The game is physical, and according to O’Neal, it was much more physical during his time. Getting hit is part of the game. Yes, the Green incident was unfortunate, but according to O’Neal, you cannot press charges for something that happens in a game.

The logic of pressing charges comes if the incident happened outside the basketball court. Then it becomes a civil issue. On the court, the league is responsible, and subsequently, the NBA reprimanded Green with an indefinite suspension.

The Bosnian player is in his 9th season in the league. He has a career average of 12 points and 9 rebounds. Being an average player at best throughout his career, his name has popped up in the media for many other reasons.

First was him throwing away the phone of a young Indiana Pacers fan which got him sued. Then time and again the NBA’s best have had highlight-reel posters thrown down on him. Then there was the altercation with Miami Heat star Tyler Herro who is much smaller than him.

So O’Neal having a ‘Kat Williams’ moment while answering Nurkic and his latest impasse is justified. After all, as per O’Neal, you have to man up and take it rather than cry about it.
