Shaquille O’Neal’s road to transformation commence following a near-death experience?
Shaquille O’Neal was one of the most dominant players in the NBA, ever. There was almost no way of stopping him during his prime especially when he was a consistent scorer back in the 90s with the Orlando Magic and LA Lakers. The legend himself has been in the company of several NBA greats over the years, battling against Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Allen Iverson, and one his teammate, Kobe Bryant.
But eventually, he started to become very unhealthy which costed him a career towards the end. In an interview with GQ, he revealed how a short visit to the doctor gave him the biggest scare of his life. He admitted being diagnosed with sleep apnea, a disorder that eventually leads to death at times. This made him work on himself to live a better and healthier life rather than enjoying retirement with unhealthy habits.
