“He is the Tim Duncan of Big Men,” Shaquille O’Neal showers reigning MVP Nikola Jokic with ultimate praise
Nikola Jokic and Shaquille O'Neal
Nikola Jokic is one of the best big men in the league right now, if not the best. The Denver Nuggets superstar has been constantly compared with Oscar Robertson for his passing skills with that length. Shaquille O’Neal heaped another big praise for the Joker and compared him to the great Tim Duncan; the perfect archetype of a superstar in San Antonio.
Speaking of Jokic after the postgame interview, Shaq said about the 2 x MVP, “He’s the Tim Duncan of big men.” Of course, unlike Jokic, Duncan was a defensive monster well apart from being a bank-shot-God, but O’Neal meant it in a different sense. He said, “The way he dominates the game, he is not flashy. Love this kid and how he plays.” Rightfully so, Joker is not flashy, and he can read and execute the game as well as anybody in the league.
If the compliment sounds normal; the former Spurs great, Duncan is without a doubt the top 10 players to step on the basketball court, he won 5 NBA championships with the San Antonio Spurs. Tim also won 3 Finals MVPs and 2 regular season MVPs and on the court, he was calm as a monk in the valley. In simple words, Duncan is the biggest compliment the 27-years-old could get at this stage.

Nikola Jokic says he doesn’t like how NBA players are dressing now
Jokic was speaking to the Inside Crew from NBA on TNT and did not even joke for one second while he spoke to the crew. He entered the arena in a suit and when the Inside Crew asked him about his attire he said it meant business. He said. “It’s a one way to represent yourself and I just don’t like how the guys are dressing up for the games…wearing suit…means business…and I here to do my job.”
Jokic certainly took care of his business against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday. The Denver Nuggets defeated the Grizzlies 91-105 behind Jokic’s triple-double. He had 13 points, 13 rebounds, and 13 assists in the game. Both Nuggets and the Grizzlies are at the top and second spot in the Western Conference with a 19-11 record.
