“HAVE SOME GUTS,” Skip Bayless calls out LeBron James for having ‘no clutch gene’
Skip Bayless, LeBron James
It’s safe to assume that Skip Bayless has been the fiercest critic of LeBron James since his arrival in the NBA. James and the Los Angeles Lakers had just lost consecutive overtime games to Philadelphia and Boston. In the game against the Celtics, he had a chance to win it at the buzzer but bricked it, prompting Bayless to condemn him yet again on social media.
Skip Bayless is arguably the most outspoken critic of LeBron James in the world as if he had a grudge against the former MVP. With the Lakers in full turmoil since last season, he has had plenty of reasons and justifications to go after LBJ. This time, he was reacting to the Lakers losing their 16th game of the season against the Boston Celtics, a game in which LeBron had a chance to send them home but failed.
The Lakers held a 13-point lead in the final 5 minutes against the Celtics, and after a tremendous Celtics swing in which Jayson Tatum matched the score with 11 seconds to play, LeBron had the ball in his hand and all the time in the world to close the game. Rather than driving to the bucket or passing the ball, he chose to shoot a three-pointer, which he missed sending it to OT where they eventually lost.
Everyone, including Skip Bayless, can see that LeBron and the purple and gold can’t close out games. On Twitter, Bayless sent out a daring tweet stating: “NOOOOOOOOOOOO, LEBRON. NOT AGAIN. YOU FAILED TO CLOSE AGAIN. ANOTHER MISSED GAME-WINNER, AN AWKWARD THREE WHEN YOU COULD’VE DRIVEN IT AND MADE JUST ONE FREE THROW TO WIN. HAVE SOME GUTS! NO CLUTCH GENE.”

The Boston Celtics lost a 20-point lead in the second half before coming from a late 13-point deficit for a dramatic 122-118 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night, led by Jayson Tatum’s 44 points and Jaylen Brown’s 25 points. Marcus Smart nailed four 3-pointers and scored 18 points for the NBA-leading Celtics, who avoided their first three-game winless streak of the season.
Boston’s Derrick White added 10 points as the team erased Los Angeles’ seven-point advantage in the last four minutes with a 17-4 rally completed by Tatum’s tying shot with 17.8 seconds left.
Anthony Davis had 37 points and 12 rebounds, but he also missed two free throws with 28 seconds left, giving Tatum a chance to force OT. LeBron James scored 33 points in a classic episode of the 17-time champion teams’ rivalry.
Russell Westbrook had 20 points and a season-high 14 rebounds, but he also missed three open shots in overtime as the Celtics pulled away with 12 straight points. The Lakers fell for the fourth time in five games in their first game back from a six-game trip, dropping to 11-16 on the season.

Skip Bayless and his compulsion with LeBron James
Skip Bayless‘ weird obsession with LeBron James stems from his opinion of him as the most intriguing individual in sports. During every game, Bayless adds, there is always a lot going on in and around the LA Lakers superstar. As a global superstar, LeBron carries a lot of weight since everything he does on and off the court is heavily covered by the media.
This is why, regardless of whether the Los Angeles Lakers are winning or losing, they are a continual topic of discussion for the analyst. Bayless is hell-bent on berating James during and after a game as he is someone who constantly tweets about every Lakers game.
