Skip Bayless discredits Anthony Edwards' last minute block on Indiana Pacers

Anthony Edwards and his last-minute block against the Indiana Pacers is the hottest topic in the sports world at the moment. Everyone from fans to analysts is talking about that clutch play by the Minnesota Timberwolves superstar.

However, not everyone seems to be appreciative of the elite skill that went in to make that stop. Most notably, Undisputed host Skip Bayless, who called it one of the easiest blocks ever.

Skip Bayless is infamous for discrediting players and having a view on topics that many find baffling. This seems like it is a similar scenario. While speaking to Keyshawn Johnson on the latest segment of their show Undisputed, Bayless said this;

FS Video
Keyshawn, this was killing a Gnat with a sledgehammer. This was the easiest block you'll ever see, cause he's so far above it. You gave this a 10? It's the easiest block ever. You know what, it turned into a dad block.

Bayless shockingly mentioned that Edwards’ teammate Jaden McDaniels could have also blocked the shot in that play. He was impeded by Edwards, who jumped over him. Johnson was baffled by this observation.

Keyshawn Johnson asked Bayless what was he watching on TV to come to that conclusion. Johnson tried to explain that McDaniels could have no idea that Edwards was launching for the block from behind him. But Bayless did not agree with that logic. He said that McDaniels could feel someone behind him jumping and did not go for the block.

Johnson did not understand how Skip Bayless could discredit that elite show of athleticism from Edwards. It seems Skip Bayless is back to his usual self, discrediting players and or unreal shows of skill or athleticism, for no reason.

Skip Bayless does not want to give Anthony Edwards his due

Anthony Edwards has had a short career so far. But in that short space of time, he has only elevated his game play-by-play. So much so that probably everyone around the basketball world is calling him the future face of the NBA. But it seems Skip Bayless is not in that group.

Discrediting the block which probably could have lost the Minnesota Timberwolves the game with baffling logic is shocking at best. Maybe Bayless does not want to give credit to anyone who is remotely compared to his GOAT, Michael Jordan. But even if one does not want to give a player any comparisons to their favorite, discrediting an elite show of athleticism and skill does not make sense.

Skip Bayless’ illogical reasoning on that last-minute block against the Indiana Pacers is certainly baffling. It seems Bayless may not be an Anthony Edwards fan. But Edwards might not care as he is proving time and again that he is the hottest superstar on the rise.
