“The older you get, the harder it gets to get back in shape” Skip Bayless launches another scathing attack on LeBron James for taking SIX WEEK break

LeBron James and Skip Bayless
Skip Bayless came back with his unasked reminders for LeBron James. This time it was to remind LeBron to get back in shape, as the 37-year-old took a break from basketball after the 2021-22 NBA season and dedicated time towards himself and his family. LeBron James led-LA Lakers finished at the 11th seed in the Western Conference and failed to even make it to the play-in tournaments.

LeBron James spent some quality time to unwind and be with his family vacationing in the Maldives and Dubai. The deserved break came in at the right moment as he had put in a lot of work during the regular season . Although the outcome was disappointing, it was necessary for the four-time NBA champion to unwind himself, recharge and freshen up before he got back to his routines and games.

Another day another dig at LeBron James
Bayless, who has solidified himself as one of LeBron James’ unapologetically biggest critics, took to twitter to remind the Lakers star to get back into shape, “Hey, Bron: You’d better lay off the flamin’ hot cheddar & sour cream Ruffles. The older you get, the harder it gets to get back in shape. You just took SIX WEEKS off. Today was your first day back in your LA gym. Recommit!”
After his vacations, LeBron James posted a video of him returning to work out in LA. At age 37, he works hard on maintaining his form and athleticism even in Year 19.
For playing at the age when most players retire, LeBron was terrific as he averaged 30.3 PPG and finished second behind Joel Embiid in the scoring title race. It is no doubt that even Skip Bayless is aware of how much James takes care of his body. However, his tweet seemed to be a dig at all the vacationing videos the eighteen-time All-Star posted on social media.
With a lot of time left for the 2022-23 season to start, it seems that LeBron James certainly has his offseason plans set. He has already mentioned that he would like to work on getting to the free-throw line more often.
Even at 37, James has proven to be one of the best in the league. With him on alongside, the Lakers will be hoping to bounce back stronger and hopefully compete for the championship next season.
