Stephen A Smith gets into heated debate over Kyrie Irving on First Take

‘You have the nerve to sit on national television and tell me I’m getting personal,” Stephen A. Smith gets into a heated argument with Jay Williams over Kyrie Irving trade saga

Stephen A Smith has always been a vocal and loud pundit on television. Stephen has outspoken many guests on First Take in the past, however, today Jay Williams gave it back to him.

The pair were arguing about Kyrie’s decision to request a trade and things got heated up. Jay Williams accused Stephen A Smith of taking the Kyrie situation personally and not objectively.

You’re the one that’s being very emotional right now,” said Williams. “I’m just saying how it’s interesting to me; it just carries such a bigger momentum in particular with you. Stop telling us what you find interesting and just tell us what you feel,” Smith replied.

Jay Williams felt that Stephen A. Smith was too preoccupied with Kyrie, following Smith to get triggered. “I don’t seem to be the one being triggered right now,” said Jay Williams to which Smith responded “I’m always triggered‘. A very typical thing for him to say as he has essentially made a career off being triggered on national television. Whether be it with Skip Bayless, Max Kellerman, and now Jay Williams.

Stephen A Smith said, “You have the nerve to sit on national television and tell me I’m getting personal with a player? I don’t lose any sleep over Kyrie Irving. I don’t accuse you of getting personal with any player”. Jay Williams replied, “You have accused me in the past, you have“. Stephen A realized there is no point in this debate, it was just a back-and-forth of different opinions which could never be solved by arguing.

While the entire world is arguing about Kyrie’s decision, he gets ready to start a new chapter. Kyrie is set to make his debut for the Mavericks on 9th February against the Clippers. Kyrie has been on a hot streak lately, as he averaged 29 points in the month of January in the midst of KD’s injury. He is an all-star starter this year as well along with Luka.

Stephen A Smith and Jay Williams can argue all day about Kyrie and his antics but he will be completely focused on Dallas. However, if his time in Dallas does not go as planned, do not be surprised to see more of Stephen A Smith getting emotional on First Take.
