Tom Brady, Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry is not having a slow start like the reigning champion Golden State Warriors are having. Curry is already 34 years old, but it seems like he has only recently begun to play his greatest basketball. Despite this, Steph said in an interview that Tom Brady gave him advice to not abandon his career anytime soon.

On almost every basketball court in the world, from NBA arenas to elementary school gyms, players of all heights constantly make long 3-point attempts. Stephen Curry has become an international celebrity and an icon because of his three-pointers. Despite being 34 years old, he has kept on trying to impress. Curry recently led the Warriors to their fourth title and last season in the past eight years and won his Finals MVP award despite injuries that plagued him throughout the 2019–20 season.

He has occasionally considered his growing years and consulted Tom Brady, one of the best football players ever, for advice on how to handle a prospective retirement. Curry discussed Brady’s career guidance with the audience at the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year ceremony.

When columnist Charlie Walter asked Curry about the years ahead of him and how long he can play, the three-point god stated: “I talked to Tom Brady about how he’s at the point in his career where he’s still playing at a high level at 44 …. And his advice was just to take it a year at a time.”

Curry also added: “There’s no way to fast forward, that’s not how you got to this point, so don’t rush yourself to think about how you could do it. Your body will tell you and I don’t see myself slowing down anytime soon.” Tom Brady is 44 and still going strong playing as a quarterback in the NFL and is regarded as one of the greatest ever athletes to set foot on the planet.

Stephen Curry’s NBA career retrospective

Despite being rather short, Stephen Curry is recognized as the best shooter in NBA history. In addition, he works extremely efficiently and quickly. His tendency for making 3-pointers from a distance of at least 30 feet transformed the way the game was held. Curry joins an exclusive group of just 12 players in league history who have earned back-to-back MVPs after winning consecutive Most Valuable Player Awards in 2015 and 2016.

Curry won the MVP award for the Finals in 2022 as he led Golden State to four NBA championships between 2015 and 2022. He became the oldest scoring champion since 1997–1998 after winning his second title in 2021.

In the NBA Finals of 2022, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Boston Celtics, and Stephen Curry won the Finals MVP award for the first time. He won his fourth championship in the previous eight years by scoring 31.2 points per game during this illustrious series.

Over the course of more than a decade, he has continually displayed remarkable dedication, accepting any task necessary to achieve significant team and individual victories, and he is still going strong today.

Before the NBA Finals, Curry’s induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame may have already been decided, and the triumph just served to confirm that choice. He was also selected to attend the legendary NBA team’s 75th anniversary in 2022.
