The Golden State Warriors star forward Draymond Green finally returned to the basketball floor after his five-game suspension due to an incident of choke holding the Minnesota Timberwolves star Rudy Gobert. Post the incident, The Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr made an appearance in a media interaction where he expressed his disappointment over Green for getting a technical foul in the crucial hours of the fourth quarter that eventually made them lose the match.

Draymond Green made it to their matchup against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night after his five-game suspension but unfortunately, the Golden State Warriors took a tough beat from the Kings in a 124-123 loss. Steve Kerr called out Green for his disappointing performance and explained that Green has to be the leader of the team and guide them all and has to do better.

Kerr in a media interaction said:

[It's] disappointing because Draymond, he drives a lot of our results. I've told people over the years that we don't have a single championship without Draymond and I fully believe that. Our teams have been so skilled, but Draymond is a guy who gives us a defensive force, the emotion, the edge. There's just a different mentality with our team with Draymond and he takes us over the top. So he's a very powerful figure and he knows that and he and I have talked about that.

Steve Kerr added:

But he has to harness that power. I was disappointed last night that he got that tech, reaction to the foul afterward because the momentum really swung in Sacramento's favor after that. So he's got to be better and he knows that.

The in-season game against the Kings was important for the Warriors to win as they missed the chance to next round of the in-season tournaments.

The Golden State Warriors with Steph Curry started off strong with both Curry and Andrew Wiggins contributing 29 points each, leading the team in points. Whereas Draymond Green on his first match after his five-game suspension was seen starting off the game strong with two three-point shots behind the arc in the first half of the game. But after that, the fanbase wasn’t so supportive of Green’s return to the floor as they started booing the star forward, every time he touched the basketball.

Klay Thomspon believes that the team shouldn’t give up despite their loss against the Sacremento Kings

The Golden State Warriors star guard, Klay Thompson in a media interaction addressed their loss against the Kings and beleives that the team shouldnt be discouraged with this. He asserts that the team has better chance of improving in their next upcoming home game against the LA Clippers.

Klay Thompson said:

We have to stick with it, not to get discouraged about a bad night like tonight, and realize that we’re going home with an opportunity to right the ship, I still have cold-hearted belief in this team and we can do some special things.

Despite the Warriors struggling, Klay assures that the team has the ability to perform exceptionally well. The team has their next home game against the LA Clippers on Thursday night and following that they would have their second game against the Clippers, hosted at LA making this a home and home series for both the teams.
