The most awaited sports video game of the year, NBA 2K23, was officially released on September 9, 2022. There have been debates about player ratings in the game already, and it has caused a rage among NBA stars. Some NBA stars like Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, Karl Anthony Towns, Jaylen Brown, etc. aren’t entirely happy with their ratings. The NBA 2K tweeted the overall rankings of the best NBA players in 2K23 just three days before the game launch on Sept 6th.

The NBA 2K‘s official Twitter account revealed the ratings for some of the league’s best players to build up the hype for the game’s release. In addition to the top-10 highest overall ratings, they uncovered the best 3-point shooters, dunkers, and players from some countries. The players could also reach out to Ronnie 2K on Twitter and request their rating.

NBA stars like Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, Karl Anthony Towns, and Jaylen Brown were a few players who weren’t happy with their ratings. Kevin Durant was rated 96 OVR, just behind Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has been placed atop with 97 OVR. He jokingly tweeted at Ronnie 2K, saying he believes he should be a 99 OVR. Kevin Durant is the second-highest player in the game, alongside Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, and Joel Embiid.

Klay Thompson was given an 88 OVR 3-pt shooting, and Steph Curry was crowned the best 3-pt shooter with 99 OVR. However, Klay was not at all happy with his rating. Klay tweeted, “Put some respect on my name you bums.”

Karl-Anthony Towns was given a rating of 89 OVR. He was worried that he did not make it to the top five three-point shooters in the game. The NBA Three-Point Contest champion’s doubtful face emoji, followed by a question mark, said how unhappy he was with the rating even after winning the three-point contest.

Jaylen Brown was rated 87 OVR, and he firmly believes he should have been somewhere above 90 OVR. He got back and tweeted, “Stop playing with me” on the official handle of the NBA2K.
