“Acting like a victim” Twitter roasts Malik Monk demanding a foul after a HORRIBLE flop involving fan seated at the baseline
Malik Monk
Malik Monk and the Sacramento Kings had a dominant outing in their game today versus the defending champions Golden State Warriors. Monk had an impeccable flop during the game which will forever be remembered in which nobody inside the arena nor the fans on social media exactly knew what he was up to.
The Warriors faced off against the young Sacramento Kings hoping to achieve their third straight victory after a lackluster start to the season. Domantas Sabonis and the Kings had other plans for the defending champions as they managed to edge past them in an intense matchup.
The game was a struggle for the Warriors as they had failed to outrun the young blood from Sac Town which turned out to be their seventh loss in road games so far this season. For Sacramento, Malik Monk had a wonderful game along with a highlight that is soon to be featured in ‘Shaqtin A Fool.’
Monk drove by Donte DiVincenzo to the basket with about 3 minutes remaining in the third quarter as the Kings have been in possession. Kevon Looney was defending Monk at the other end. Monk soared high to complete the layup, but Looney’s strong defensive play which included some contact made it impossible for him to make the shot. He then stumbled to the fans’ area on the baseline and was spotted flopping in anticipation of a foul call when a fan attempted to brush Malik away from him.
Malik Monk upsets the defending champions with the Kings
With 26 points, 22 rebounds and 8 assists on Sunday night, Domantas Sabonis led the Sacramento Kings to a 122-115 victory over the Golden State Warriors. Following an 0-4 start, the Kings have won six of their last eight games thanks in large part to De’Aaron Fox, who scored 11 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter. Keegan Murray scored 21 points and made 5 three-pointers for the Kings. Malik Monk contributed 12 points off the bench in addition to 17 points from Kevin Huerter, who made four three-pointers.
For the Warriors, Stephen Curry scored 27 points. On Monday, he scored 47 points as the Warriors defeated Sacramento 116-113. Klay Thompson scored 17 points while grabbing seven rebounds while Andrew Wiggins scored 26 points. Jordan Poole scored 18 points off the bench while Draymond Green added 11 assists, seven rebounds and six more points. The Warriors struggled with 18 turnovers, a 46 percent field goal percentage and 16 of 47 from beyond the arc. Sacramento was 16 of 37 from 3-point range and made 51.6 percent of its shots overall.
The flop received a lot of attention from fans on social media and this is how they reacted:
One of the few shining lights on the dreadful Los Angeles Lakers last season, Malik Monk, agreed to a two-year, $19 million contract with the Sacramento Kings this offseason. The former 11th overall pick did a great job last season of regaining his worth and he is currently doing it this season too. Sacramento offers him a fresh start to accomplish this and advance as a player. Expect Monk to be a key player for the Kings this season and to give them the offensive punch they need keeping aside his theatrics.
