When playing the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night, Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors seemed to be in a sentimental mood. With a 130-123 victory on Saturday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Golden State Warriors in two games, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scoring 10 of his 40 points in overtime. It was the second half when Thunder started sinking the Warrior’s ship.

Despite losing the game, there were cool moments with players celebrating in unique ways. In the third quarter, Thompson made a tough shot over Thunder rookie Cason Wallace. First, he teased Wallace with a “Too Small” move, then followed it up with a “Rock the Baby” gesture. Even Steph Curry, Thompson’s teammate, joined in with a “Too Small” celebration from the bench. After Dario Saric’s one-on-one win over Chet Holmgren, Curry took charge of the celebration.

Despite some unique celebrations, Klay faced ejection in the Timberwolves match, grabbing jerseys with Rudy Gobert. The fallout: a 5-game suspension and penalties. Post-halftime, Klay’s performance disappointed fans, sparking demands for Zach LaVine to replace him this season. At halftime, he scored 16 points on 5-of-13 shooting. Meanwhile, Curry celebrated Dario Saric’s victory over Chet Holmgren in the paint.

Due to his strong early performances in the 2023–24 NBA season, there are questions regarding Klay Thompson’s potential role with the Golden State Warriors. Even though he has shown incredible shooting ability in recent seasons following back-to-back leg injuries, the current campaign has not been very impressive.

Fans react to Klay Thompson’s ‘rock the baby’ celebration

Klay Thompson doing such a celebration surely shows his mentality, although getting all that hate. It’s difficult to show such moves if you are averaging 13.8 points on the season. Before the second half, everything worked perfectly for Klay, but after that, he seemed off-balance and was not providing much.

Well, people got the attention of that celebration but it doesn’t look good from the perspective of the fans. People are telling him to focus on his games and be consistent. Some are calling him a front-runner as this game was full of celebration showoffs. Stephen did some and now Klay. Here are some of the fans’ reactions:

With just 13.8 points per game on the season and a 32.9 percent three-point shooting percentage coming into this Saturday’s action, Klay Thompson has had an extremely difficult start to the season. Despite hitting only three of his nine attempts from beyond the arc, he finished with 16 points against the Thunder. Thompson, who is well known for his ability to score points and shoot accurately from long range, set a high bar last season by leading the league with 301 made 3-pointers out of 731 attempts.
