WATCH: “Poster on Giannis!” Myles Turner SLAMS a vicious dunk on MVP candidate Giannis Antetokounmpo sending shockwaves amongst fans
Fans were quick to react as Myles Turner threw a vicious dunk on Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Indiana Pacers stepped foot in Milwaukee and left the “Cream City” with a vital win over the Bucks. The game ended 139-123, with the Pacers utilizing spectacular offensive firepower in the second half to rally back from a double-digit first-half deficit. Interestingly, following a solid offensive performance by the visiting team, Myles Turner threw down a thunderous slam on Giannis Antetokounmpo to conclude the game.
Turner had an off night on the offensive end. However, he made sure to be featured on the highlight reels. With around two minutes left in the game, point guard T.J. McConnell drove toward the basket. The Pacers player, guarded by Jrue Holiday, saw Giannis coming to help under the rim. Seeing the double team arrive, McConnell quickly got rid of the ball, tossing it in the path of Turner, who went on to deliver a brutal dunk on Giannis.
Tyrese Haliburton and the rest of the Pacers’ bench erupted as the big man annihilated the MVP candidate. It was a great find by a driving McConnell, who drew the two stalwart defenders and cleared the way for a cutting Turner. He ended the game with only 11 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. However, he’ll be happy with the insane posterizer and the emphatic win.
Turner’s slam served as retaliation after Giannis had already dunked on the big man two minutes earlier. However, considering the force that Turner threw it down with, the Bucks superstar’s slam was perhaps overshadowed by the big man’s dunk.
