Giannis Antetokounmpo might be the biggest star in the NBA but that did not matter to this young girl who fooled him. Right before the Bucks took on the 76ers a young fan in a Bucks jersey asked Giannis for his autograph. Giannis being the gentle giant he is, gladly offered to sign her jersey and the girl happily ran to her dad with ‘The Greek Freak’s autograph. However, the Bucks player was betrayed by this young fan.
The girl went on to reveal a 76ers jersey underneath her Bucks jersey and approached Tyrese Maxey for an autograph after that. This moment was caught on the national TV broadcast and left the broadcasting team in splits. The entire crew burst into a synchronized ‘wow’ while looking at the fake loyalty on display. However, there is still no information on which team the girl actually supports.
Giannis Antetokounmpo has had many wholesome moments with his young fans before and this would have been one until the jersey swap. Giannis famously had a wholesome moment with a fan who drew pictures of him in a scrapbook. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bucks get their win streak broken against Philadelphia
The Milwaukee Bucks had won their last 16 games coming into this game and were looking to extend their streak at home. The Bucks however ended up losing to a James Harden masterclass. Harden dropped 38 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 assists with 5 threes to drown the Bucks. Giannis Antetokounmpo put up a valiant 34 points and 13 rebounds but the Bucks could not pick up the win.
Joel Embiid also hit a huge three in the last minute of the fourth quarter to give the Philadelphia 76ers the lead and ice the game. Embiid had 31 points and 10 assists himself in a complete performance by Philly. The Milwaukee Bucks lead by as much as 18 points and led for more than 35 minutes until the Philly comeback. The Bucks lead by 14 points going into the fourth quarter yet did not manage to close the game out.
Embiid, Harden, and Maxey scored 10 points without reply in the last 1.5 minutes to give Philly the lead. The Bucks could not recover after that and suffered a tough loss. However, Bucks fans will not be that heartbroken as the Celtics did lose to the Nets earlier this week which keeps Milwaukee at the #1 seed. The Bucks will hope to clinch the #1 seed despite suffering this streak-breaking loss.
