The Big Diesel began his career in 1992 which was when prime Michael Jordan existed. Toward the end of the decade, he experienced the takeover with the arrival of Kobe Bryant. Several people have claimed that Bryant was the closest replication of MJ. And finally, in 2003, he witnessed the rising of LeBron James, who was considered the biggest prospect since MJ.

It is quite safe to say that Shaquille O’Neal has enough knowledge about the league as he was also the best player in the NBA at one point in time. Recently, he shared an image on his Instagram page which had a pyramid tier list that ranked the best players in NBA history.

Jordan was the only player that cracked tier 1. The list ranked Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant right below. LeBron James, the one player that is continuously compared the Jordan more so than Bryant, was placed in tier 3. Shaq captioned the post, “what’s your thoughts on this and no I didn’t make this up.”

Shaquille O’Neal once straightforwardly admitted that he believed Kobe was the best player in the world in his eyes. During the 2001 Western Conference Finals, the Lakers managed to lead the series 2-0 against the San Antonio Spurs. Shaq did not have much of a masterful scoring night after recording 19 points along with 14 rebounds.

The big man was quick to appreciate his teammates during the post-game interview standing beside Kobe.
