“You have me in tears again” – Fans get EMOTIONAL as Donovan Mitchell showers love on his young fan
Donovan Mitchell met his lifelong young fan Josh who waited for him outside the Jazz arena to meet him. Mitchell hugged Josh after seeing him for the first time since being traded. The Cavs faced the Jazz first time after Mitchell trade, however, they lost the game 114-116.

Donovan Mitchell is one of the nicest players in the league and he has shown that time and again. The Cleveland Cavaliers guard recently shared a video of a heartwarming and emotional reunion with his young longtime Utah Jazz fan on Tuesday night. Josh, a young, great admirer of Mitchell who was excited to welcome the return of his favorite player, greeted Mitchell, who is on a roll in Cleveland lately.
Taking to Twitter, Donovan shared the video of his longtime fan waiting for his arrival in Utah. He also shared that the young man has been waiting for him at the Vivint Arena continuously for five years. He posted on his Twitter account: ‘My guy Josh has been waiting for me at the arena every game for 5 years!! My first time seeing him since I got traded… it’s moments like these that last forever! Missed you Josh!!‘ In the past, Mitchell has also given back to his hometown. He previously donated $12 million to the Connecticut school’s Greenwich Country Day School for scholarships and a new gym.
Although Spida had a special night for himself in scoring, he didn’t get the result he would have wanted. The Utah Jazz defeated the Cavs by 116-114. Mitchell played for Utah for five years, before he was traded to Cleveland in order to bring a new roster. Despite lacking any star player, the Jazz at one point climbed to the top spot before sliding to the 9th spot with a 21-23 record.

Seeing the video that the 3 x NBA All-Star shared on his Twitter handle fans got emotional and complimented Mitchell for being the sweet dude that he has always been. One of the fans wrote, “You are a force for good, Donovan. Thx for being so great to people in UT.” Another emotional fan wrote, “You have me in tears again. We loved you in Utah. Coming into the game the Cavs were definitely a better team on the record as well as the roster. The Cavaliers took a 7-point lead in the first quarter and by the end of the 2nd quarter, the Jazz had eliminated the lead to even the game. However, in the neck-to-neck fight, the Cavs could not come over the multiple offensive strikes from the Jazz player.
Mitchell scored a game-high 46 points in just 36 minutes, which obviously wasn’t enough to answer the multiple offensive threats the Jazz had created against Cavs’ defense. He made 14 of 27 shots from the field and 7 of 18 from the three-point line. Jordan Clarkson led the Jazz in scoring with 32 points.
