On the First Things First show, Chris Broussard made a bold statement calling the Suns champions over every team in the East and West combined. “Not only is no one in the West beating Phoenix, no one in the entire NBA is beating Phoenix. I’m calling it right now, they are the NBA champion favorites, yes. Nobody anywhere is beating this team.”

According to Broussard, the current Phoenix team resembles the 2014-15 San Antonio Spurs who were thrown off by the Miami Heat in the 2013-14 finals and made a jump back to the top to win it the following season. “They remind me of the 2014 San Antonio Spurs. They are on a mission nobody is going to stop them. They got a legit big three that fits together. They have a big three where Booker is just scoring, Chris Paul is you orchestrator and Deandre Ayton is the big man that mans the paint offensively and defensively.”
