Stephen Curry three-pointers slumps continues and records his worst career stats
Stephen Curry
Warriors star guard Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter of all-time in NBA history, in this season he has performed like a maniac and proved himself better than anyone. During the initial games of the current NBA season, Curry was averaging 27.7 PPG with 43.9% shooting accuracy from the field and 41.6% from outside the arc while attempting 13.2 three-pointers per game.
Curry’s performance made a lot of noise in the NBA universe and in the debate for the MVP contender ship this season he was the hottest topic for the Sports analyst and journalist. But things changed drastically after Stephen Curry broke the record of Ray Allen for the most 3-pointers in NBA history against the Knicks on 14th Dec 2021.

Is Stephen Curry Injured which has affected his shooting accuracy?
Every superstar player faces difficulty during their career and it seems that Stephen Curry is right now in the same phase of that struggle. His three-point shooting accuracy has dipped from 41.6% to 37.3% in his last 18 games which are particularly surprising and are the worst stats of his career.
According to StatMuse, Stephen Curry hadn’t made any back-to-back 50% shooting games since last year’s November month and he has also missed 95 three-pointer shots from his 135 attempts from behind the arc.
But what is the reason for the downfall of the greatest shooter of the NBA? Here’s what Anthony Slater of The Athletic’s on the Warriors Plus Minus podcast said, “He landed on his shooting hand hard in Chicago and then missed a game. Then in the first game of the homestand, he jammed his left middle finger pretty hard, had to leave the game briefly, and he’s had to have it taped.”

Stephen Curry back into his beast mode
Slater claimed that Curry is struggling because of the injuries in his fingers and is not 100% fit due to which he is missing more shots in the game, but now it seems that Curry is moving back to his beast mode because in the last match against the Timberwolves he scored 29 points while shooting 10 out of 20 from the field and 6/10 from behind the arc. It will be interesting to watch whether the star guard will regain his importance in the MVP candidacy
