Los Angeles Lakers played host to their city rivals back from the NBA All-Star Weekend, and with that said the Lakers succumbed to another Clipper defeat. LeBron James after his historic weekend in the NBA All-Star has returned to reality with the Los Angeles Lakers. Things look pretty much the same for the Purple and Gold. LeBron James has a 5-0 streak in the NBA All-Stars as a captain, but with the Lakers this season he can’t even hold a 5-game win streak in the league.

The Lakers Head Coach has made his feelings known by making it a priority to make it into the Play-in game, and since the idea for the playoffs is rather looking out of sight, things are about to get much worse for the Lakers. Their injury troubles have clung on for the whole season, with Anthony Davis unable to remain fit for the Lakers and making them miss his presence emphatically. With regular injuries, the load shared by their 2 top players LeBron James and Russell Westbrook is already high, with the latter on the front with criticism from the analysts has been kept quiet and has had few loud moments. The confidence in the Lakers team certainly looks low.

However, the Los Angeles Lakers had a quiet Trade, so quiet that they failed to make even a single trade during the duration of the trade. With Talen Horton-Tucker signing a new deal with the Lakers which is 3 years and for around $30 Million he is not a cheap prospect in the Market. His new contract signing and his depleted performance and his inability to adapt to his new teammates have certainly played a major role in him not being traded as part of his depleted trade value.

Against the Clippers, Talen Horton Tucker might have upset the King to a point he no longer wants him on his team. Talen Horton Tucker by the numbers didn’t play the game bad, with 16 points, 1 assist, and 3 rebounds. It was the way he played, with a far-fetched pass to LeBron James with no one near him to score a basket, he overthrew the pass which LeBron didn’t appreciate, even more, he slipped in the 2nd quarter giving away a cheap turnover. This season Talen Horton-Tucker is not the prospect the Lakers fans would have expected to have developed into.
