Taylor Swift is being chased by billboards in the entire city of Rhode Island as she is being invited to a basketball match of her biggest fans (Literally), which is an entire men’s basketball team of the Providence College, from Rhode Island. Taylor Swift who recently took over the hearts of everyone in Providence College, especially their men’s basketball team, after a peculiar incident at the basketball match which made them realize that there is a lot more hype around Taylor’s songs in comparison to the likes of songs like “Jump Around” and many more.
Taylor Swift must surely be getting tired of people pinging her with messages, tweets and mails regarding the invitation by Providence College’s Men’s Basketball team to their match which will be happening in their home court of the “Dunking Donuts Arena” which is also known as “Dunk” by the residents there and the students of the college.
The College has found many cheeky ways to draw the attention of Music Sensation Taylor Swift who is one of the highest trending and most listened to female artistes every year, which in itself increases the hype around this incident a lot more! Though the methods might seem uncanny, peculiar and funny, they definitely could work as Taylor Swift is no stranger to Rhode Island where she also owns a house in the Watch Hill locality.
Let us now take a closer look at the methods used by the students of Provident College in order to draw the attention of Taylor Swift to attend a match at their home court and also look at the significance of the singer to the College, which considers her their totem.

The Provident College men’s basketball team also known as the Friars have a match against the Creighton at the former’s home court, the Dunkin’ Donuts Center, also lovingly known as “The Dunk” by the students of the college and all local residents.

Taylor Swift seems to be of major significance to the college and its students as all of these people have teamed up to somehow manage to get Taylor Swift to watch one of their home games after they became fans of her during one of their matches, where a particular incident took place.
During one of the Freirs’ home court matches, a few Junior girls, who call themselves “swifties” [well that is what fans of Taylor Swift call themselves] reached out to the Dunk’s DJ and asked him to play Taylor Swift’s song “You Belong With me” which was reluctantly played by the DJ and slowly and steadily the song became a hit amongst the college students who began requesting it in every match and it eventually became their unofficial anthem.
Taylor Swift and the Providence Men’s Basketball team along with all of their student supporters could definitely be a powerful combination and it will be exciting to watch if they successfully are able to invite the Pop Star to their match or if they even are able to get a certain message from her.
