“The King did not like not being the King of his own palace” Skip Bayless gets critcised over persuading Lakers for being “quiet” on deadline day
LeBron James and Skip Bayless
It comes as no surprise that people are still talking about the Los Angeles Lakers and their underwhelming season. Expectations were not met after the most stacked roster in the league failed to make it among the top five in the Western Conference. Fingers were pointed, issues were taken into consideration and the team was very accepting of where they were headed and why?

But as far as the NBA nation is concerned, the Lakers will have to wait until next season for another shot at the title. LeBron James admittedly said that his Lakers team will not ever be on the same level as one of their contending rivals. Well, the captain says we have to work harder!

Recently, the Lakers lost Anthony Davis once again to an ankle injury which will be needing him to remain out for a couple of weeks. So what does this mean for the organization? Should they be reconsidering offers that were made besides Russell Westbrook?
LeBron James takes a shot at Rob Pelinka after possibly being denied a request

The Los Angeles Lakers did not take up the opportunity of making changes during the trade deadline retaining their original roster from this season, why? LeBron James took to Twitter praising the Rams’ football team for giving up draft picks in a move for veteran players.
Skip Bayless of the Undisputed, has been extremely open in his opinions on the spiraling Lakers team. He said, “This is glaringly obviously a shot at Rob Pelinka. This is classic, vintage LeBron on social going cryptic, going passive-aggressive. He never really spits it out… They’re doing nothing. You can’t tell me LeBron was happy with that. There were many reports that suggested that for the first time, Rob Pelinka said no LeBron James.”

Based on what he understood from the tweet with regards to the situation of the Lakers, Bayless confidently believes the King was very salty over the fact that he could not influence any sort of movement during the trade deadline. According to Bayless, Pelinka had rejected LeBron’s request only to focus on getting the best out of the team that has not put its all into the season.
Skip Bayless says the Lakers have to get rid of Russell Westbrook because he irrelevant to their process

In a small comparison, Skip Bayless along with co-host Shannon Sharpe highlighted a John Wall acquisition which could have at least worked away or two in their system. “Get rid of him. If it costs you a draft pick in 2027, what does it matter? Would it improve your chances down the stretch not to have to deal with Russ, not to try in figure out how to solve the Russ problem, which is enormous.”
Though heavily critiquing Westbrook’s worth, the two had also admitted that the player has put up better numbers but still has a lot of flaws in his game such as the number of turnovers produced, his reliability from the three-point range, and his horrible free-throw percentages. Skip feels like this is not worthy of being a starting point guard. The duo had also mentioned about the Buss family who owns the Lakers are not willing to tap into the luxury tax in order to acquire a guard like John Wall.
